The Topic I chose is “If you could change one important thing about your hometown, what would you change? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.”
And here I wrote my opinion.
There are many things I would like to change in my hometown. However, if I could change only one thing, I would change current network infrastructures to faster and higher quality network. The reasons are very selfish, but I believe this will help many people in my hometown to have communication more. There are 2 main reasons: my hometown’s old network infrastructures and distance of neighborhoods.
First, the network infrastructures such as mobile phone networks, telephone networks, or even television networks are very poor and old in my hometown. Some part of the town started improving the infrastructures yet, it’s very slow pace and won’t cover whole of town. As a result, many of residents can’t receive good network or even can’t receive TV bands.
Second, many of the residents in my hometown are relatively single elderly people and each house is not close enough so they can hardly have communication with neighbors. I heard, for example, my grandmother who lives in similar town, couldn’t have many opportunities to talk before. However, after the faster network has come to her house, she can have many conversations throughout the network and she looks happier than before. Thus, I believe the latest network infrastructure will give people in my hometown more opportunities to have communications.
There are more reasons, but the 2 reasons I mentioned above are the main reasons. Throughout the 2 reasons, I would like to improve network infrastructure if I can change one thing in my town.
